FAQ

Are you accepting custom orders?

Currently, I am not accepting new custom orders as my list is full. However, I encourage you to stay tuned to my social media channels or sign up for my newsletter where I will announce openings for custom orders in the future.

Will you remake pairs?

At Neebageesis Beadwork, I believe in the uniqueness of each product, reflecting the individuality of its owner. Therefore, I do not remake pairs. Each item is crafted with care and attention to ensure its distinctiveness.

I would like to commission a pair that looks exactly like this pair I found on xyz site, can you make it for me?

Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce exactly the models or products of other sites. Our commitment to originality and creativity leads us to design unique and distinctive products. If you're interested in a specific piece by another artist, I encourage you to contact them directly to inquire about purchasing or ordering their work, but I'd be delighted to discuss your preferences and create a customized pair that matches your unique style. Contact me to discuss your ideas and requirements, and I'll do my best to provide you with a customized option that fully satisfies you.

As a non-Indigenous person, is it cultural appropriation buying and wearing your beadwork?

No, through wearing our pieces, individuals not only appreciate and celebrate Indigenous cultures but also actively support and encourage Indigenous artists, fostering a community of creativity, respect, and collaboration. If you have any specific questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us for a more in-depth discussion.

Do you give beading workshops?

Yes, I do offer beading workshops! If you're interested in hosting one, please email me with all the details, including the date, time, honorarium, expected number of attendees, and any other pertinent information.

Please note that my workshops typically accommodate a maximum of 10 participants per instructor. However, if you expecting more than 10 attendees, an assistant fee will be added to the invoice for a maximum of 20 participants. Workshops generally run between 2 to 3 hours and a material fee will be added to the honorarium. Please keep in mind that I reserve the right to refuse any workshop request.

I look forward to hearing from you and discussing the possibility of hosting a beading workshop together!

Will you consider partnering with/selling at markets or other stores?

My priority will always be to support Indigenous-owned stores and markets organized by Indigenous communities. While I appreciate your interest, I prioritize partnerships that align with our values. If you believe your market or store fits this criteria, please send me an email with all the details. I’ll carefully review your proposal and get back to you as soon as possible.

If I make a bulk order for my shop, can you offer me a discounted price?

While Neebageesis Beadwork is part-time passion projects for me, I deeply value our time and work. Your support not only encourages indigenous artists but also helps me cover our expenses and bills. While I don't typically offer discounts on bulk orders, I assure you that every purchase directly supports my craft and livelihood. Thank you for considering Neebageesis Beadwork for your shop, and feel free to reach out if you have any further questions or specific needs.

Why are your prices so high?

I am a small business that prioritizes quality, sustainability, and ethical sourcing in every aspect of our products. I source my materials not only from local businesses, but also from Indigenous-owned businesses. My prices reflect the value of these principles, as well as the time, skill, and dedication that goes into creating each item. I believe in fair compensation for my work and ensuring that every product meets my high standards of craftsmanship and integrity. Additionally, by purchasing from Neebageesis Beadwork, you're not just buying a product – you're investing in a piece of art that supports indigenous craftsmanship and contributes to the preservation of traditional knowledge and culture. The funds I generate also contribute to my way of life as a small business.
